Meet Kylie
Kylie Brewer, IMFT
Hello, my name is Kylie, and I am an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in the state of Ohio. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and those navigating complex trauma. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing occurs in environments that prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment. While trauma can deeply impact how we experience ourselves and the world, I believe that growth and restoration are possible at every stage of life. With care, patience, and support, healing can unfold—much like tending a Zen Garden, one thoughtful step at a time.
I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University and bring extensive experience from the mental health field. Prior to becoming an MFT, I worked as a case manager and provided care in multiple inpatient settings, supporting individuals living with mental health conditions and substance use disorders. These experiences have shaped my trauma-informed, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach to care.
In addition to my clinical training, I am a Reiki Level II practitioner and am currently working toward becoming a Reiki Master. When appropriate and with consent, I may integrate holistic practices to support nervous system regulation and mind–body connection as part of a collaborative healing process.
I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of concerns. My training includes Hypnotherapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, the Gottman Method (Level 2), Attachment-Focused EMDR, EMDR Flash, and Brainspotting. I also incorporate elements of DBT, Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and IFS-informed care. Sessions are tailored to each client’s needs, pace, and sense of readiness.
Beginning therapy is a courageous step, especially for those with trauma histories. You are in control of your healing process, and your voice, boundaries, and lived experience are honored here. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward greater safety, resilience, and a more peaceful life.
